Recruitment Legends, a new national staffing firm based in Cape Town, has officially opened its doors. The agency aims to connect South African talent with long-term, skilled employment. It is led by founder and chief executive Anthony Kettle, backed by a consulting team with more than 170 years of combined industry experience. It launches into a market where employers are struggling to source the skills they need.

Recruitment Legends specialises in four sectors where South African demand is high and skilled talent is scarce:
Alongside these, the firm offers executive search for senior and leadership appointments. The agency is led by Anthony Kettle, whose background is in team leadership and talent acquisition. He is supported by sales director Clint Wheeler and a veteran consulting team.
The launch is backed by global investors, including Effer Ventures, a UK-based venture builder that invests in staffing and recruitment businesses. The investment will help the firm grow its team and connect more South Africans with skilled work.
Recruitment Legends launches as South Africa faces a dual challenge. Unemployment remains high, yet employers cannot find enough skilled professionals to fill their roles.
The pressure is measurable. In 2025, 84% of large corporations and multinationals operating in South Africa reported difficulty sourcing highly skilled professionals. That figure was up from 79% a year earlier. Engineering, ICT, and other technical fields were among those under the greatest strain.
Anthony Kettle framed the launch as the start of a longer journey. "We've built a strong team already, and this next phase allows us to invest further in our people, expand our expertise and support more professionals into high-quality roles," he said.
For Kettle, the goal is both commercial and social: to help businesses hire well, and to move more South Africans into skilled, long-term work.
